I hit up Equipe Rapide in Grand Prairie, TX, on Sunday for a good day of terrorizing cones. I took second in class, but only lost by 0.14 seconds.

I was supposed to go this coming weekend, but got stuck working. I need to make every event between now and the end of the year in order to trophy in the two clubs I regularly run with. Of course this is Texas, so we run year around...

It’s the sound of the DV+ diverter valve by GoFastBits.
It’s still plumbed back to the intake, but my intake is down in the fender so it seems to amplify the sound. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Hey, I was there in STX! The local groups are ER, SCCA, NTAXS, and BMWCCA. PCA (porsche club) used to run autocrosses, but they gave up a couple of years ago and now just combined with ER.
There’s an event with one of the clubs nearly every weekend between March and November and a couple of winter events in December and January.

it was a fun course. I managed to get all six runs on camera. The battery conveniently ran out just as I parked after my last run.

I’ll be a while before I go back up for autocross in DFW. The three
hours on the road
from Austin
do it is a bit daunting. It was a really long day.

That is a bit of a haul, we’re spoiled here in DFW with all the great local clubs (there isn’t a bad one in the bunch). October 7th is the annual SCCA Road Course event where we run the infield course at Texas Motor Speedway, which is great fun.

Do you hear the turbos that much when you drive, or is that just because of where the camera is mounted? Love that sound.

With the windows down and the stereo off, yes, I can hear the turbo noises that much. It takes more than a little modification to get this sound. There were several other Ecoboost Mustangs running that day and none of them sound like mine (though one or two want to).
